We have found at Scorpion Rifle Works that many new gun/rifle owners do not understand what AR15 stands for. Most people think it means "automatic or assault" rifle, it does not. It actually comes from the company that developed it in the 1950s. The company's name was ArmaLite Rifle. So the next time someone asks, remember that  "AR" does NOT stand for "assault rifle" or "automatic rifle."
